Behind-the-scenes tour of the oldest and largest anthropology museum in the southwest!
“Enjoy a special visit to the Arizona State Museum, where you will meet museum professionals who are passionate about curating some of the largest and most significant collections in the world! You will be taken behind-the-scenes into climate-controlled storerooms where you will come face to face with stunning examples of the museum’s incomparable collections of Southwest Indian pottery and American Indian basketry. You will meet preservation scientists who set international standards for collections care through ground-breaking research in a state-of-the-art conservation laboratory. Schedule: Meet 8:45am at AJs at 44th and Camelback; 4430 East Camelback on the north side behind the store to ride the van together. There is good parking there and cars can be left safely for the day. Snacks and water for the bus will be provided
