Welcome to another wonderful year for the ARCS Phoenix Chapter making an impact on STEM through our support of talented scholars. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Judy LeMarr and her Board for leading our Chapter so successfully these past two years. She collaborated diligently with our members updating bylaws, policies, procedures, and job description along with so many other projects to grow our chapter.
The ARCS Phoenix Board Members have planned a great year for all to enjoy and continue our passion for life-long learning. The October luncheon featured two ASU Scholars, Keilen Kelly, Microbiology Ph.D. and Briana Ondatje, Neuroscience Ph.D. held at Paradise Valley Country Club. Field Trip Chairs, Penny Papadopoulos and Vianne Kucera have planned a fabulous private tour and luncheon to the Arizona Science Center on October 16th. In addition, please look forward to more information on a field trip to the Eller Telepresence Center at Barrow Neurological Center in January. Thanks to the University Relations Leadership Team, Janet Castner, Laura Martin, and Kimberly Olney and their committees for their work with the universities as they review applications for new scholars.
We are grateful to our members and donors who continue to support the mission of ARCS Foundation and make a difference in STEM. Our chapter is proud to play a part in our scholars’ achievements and ability to contribute to our future quality of life.
Thank you for marking your calendar for upcoming events and consider bringing a friend to a luncheon or field trip who will be inspired by the work being done by ARCS!
Warm regards,
Sydney Fox
