Logan Ahlstrom - UA Lawson Scholar

Logan received his B.S. in Biochemistry and a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of the Pacific. His research uses novel biophysical computational techniques to expand our knowledge of proteins by setting in motion biological molecules. The goal of his work is to decipher how well static images of proteins represent their dynamic physiological state.

Shannon Fortin - UA Eller Scholar

Shannon received a B.S. in Biochemistry at Arizona State University.  Her research focuses on what causes the tumor cell invasion and resistance to chemotherapy that is descriptive of glioblasoma multiforme (GBM), a form of brain tumor.  She is studying the genetic signature of brain tumors and consequent molecular signaling responsible for tumor invasion.
