News of the ARCS Phoenix Chapter for Fall 2022
Our fall was a busy time for ARCS. We had a successful scholar social that was enjoyed by both the scholars and the members. Thanks go to Sydney Fox for coordinating at PVCC. We had a fun field trip to Creighton University Health Sciences courtesy of Andrea and Amy Moseley. We had a delightful and informative presentation at our October luncheon by Austin Blackmon from ASU. Last we had visits to NAU in person and UA virtually.
As to scholar news, ARCS Scholar Tyler Sypherd was the featured graduate speaker for ASU’s School for Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering in the Ira A. Fulton Schools of Engineering. Click hereto see his address. Another ASU scholar, Eddie Andert of the School of Computer Engineering, presented data on autonomous vehicles at the ARCS Forward webinar. Our NAU scholar, Alejandro Grajal-Puche received the Graduate Student Research Award from the Society of Conservation Biology.
